You can go to the Adobe's offical website to download the Apollo Alpha 1 now.There is no visiual development tools except the Apollo's extensions for Flex 2.01. According to Adobe's offical document,Apollo enables developers to use the current popular technologies(such as Flex,Flash,Ajax,Html) to develop project under the same flat.Apollo can now show all the HTML controls which may coressponding to the Ajax events,and aslo support the css which used for html controls apperance. If so, all the projects we're developing can be transfored to the Apollo's developing now, and we will see it's the anthor step after Flex 2.0 for Adobe's big ambition. Sounds so great.In additional,the Apollo add some APIs for developers to use ActionScript3.0 to operate the files and directoris on the computer.So cool it is!

There is no doubt that Adobe will advance it's other porducts(like Premiere,Photoshop,Acrobat,Illustrator,Flash,AfterEffects,ColdFusion) to cooperate with MXML and ActionScript3.0 which means that Adobe will have a competion with Microsoft directly on the web software and desctop developing.You will find out that MXML+ActionScript 3.0 is so similar to the XAMl+C#. What's more, we may hope that ActionScript will run on the server side to replace the ColdFusion which means the unification of the server side and client side's script language.Maybe sometime later, ActionScript will be so powerful that goes beyond our imagination.Just waiting for more time…
